It is a disgrace, and your incredulity is well articulated.

What if a wise and thoughtful statesman were to adress Hamas/PA/Palestinians with some pre-conditons? How about, "Before I commit the tax dollars of my countrymen to your reconstruction, why not show some good faith?

Why not reconstruct your ideology by retracting all traces of your anti-Jewish hatred?

Why not cease firing rockets at Israel?

Why not commit to programs of giving your youth hope?

Why not shore up your educational system by eradicating messages of hate promulgated in your mosques and madrasses?

Why not live and let live? "

There are so many more questions that people of integrity who have studied a modicum of history can well ask: such as, "Why should we trust you now when your past actions have made a mockery of our trust?"

Perhaps some of the international community are simply self-delusional and believe that their well-intentioned altruism will somehow make the problem go away for now.

Nah. I'm having second thoughts and disagree with your last statement.

They are that dumb.
