What about Iran?Reader comment on item: The Roots of Iraq's Rebellion Submitted by Joe (United States), Apr 18, 2004 at 15:53 There is a general consensus that Iran can be democratized so why not Iraq? Is it because Iraqis are Arabs and Iranians are not? Maybe Arabs, who brought Islam to the world (and not much of anything else), fear that with the passing of Islam they will lose their only identity and the sanctity of their barbaric ways.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
