A new and more terrible future Iraqi uprising.Reader comment on item: The Roots of Iraq's Rebellion Submitted by Thomas C. Nixon--Ph. D. (United States), Apr 13, 2004 at 14:32 If and when the current uprising in Iraq ends, it will not be a long time before another uprising begins. The next uprising or rebellion will be much more serious and prolonged. This will probably occur after the so called 'transition' of power on June 30. Given the culture, history and character of the Muslim people which is, of course, a direct result of their religion; a new uprising is as sure as the sunrise. Look for it.The next uprising will probably involve Shiites from Iraq and Iran as well as both from other countries. The new hostilities WILL, in all probability, result in the overthrow of the present governments of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and all the other small countries of the Gulf region. The reason for this new uprising will be to punish Kuwait, and the other Gulf countries for allowing the US and other Western countries a base of operations.
