Although your arguments about distinguishing between militant Islam and the moderate one are very good and persuasive, they don't deny the fact that all Moslems have only one source of commandments and that is their holy book
Shrinking their roles in sensitive positions and putting them in the right places, whether they agree or disagree to your suggested questions is - in my opinion - the right solution. We cannot accept to risk our lives if the monster in the cave wakes up!
