2 state solution to the 'Palestinian' problem.Reader comment on item: Why Oslo's Hopes Turned to Dust Submitted by Robert Dietrich (United States), Sep 10, 2003 at 15:35 I think that the discussion should go back to the original League of Nations Mandate for the Jewish National Home that was under the administration of the British. The origional Mandate included what is now Jordan as the National Jewish National Home. All of this, as I understand it, was for the Jews.Apparently the British had second thoughts and gave Jordan to the Arabs. So now we have an Arab state and a Jewish one. If the Arabs prefer not to live with Jews, fine, they can go somewhere else! As for who is a 'Palestinian', the Jews have had a continuous presence in the Biblical Holy Land for at least 3000 years and have been calling themselves 'Palestinian' for a very long time. The Arabs are newcomers to the area!... Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
