So SimpleReader comment on item: Why Oslo's Hopes Turned to Dust Submitted by Len Rossen (United States), Sep 9, 2003 at 23:11 Hi,Your proposal for eventual peace in the PA-Israel conflict is so very simple but now seems so totally unattainable. After today's warfare episodes the parties are so very far apart again. All it takes is a real cessation of the flow of funds to the PA and there is a chance that your scenario might be attainable. Arafat I know will not have the same veto power he now holds over peace there if the $$ stops flowing in. So all we need to do is get our European"friends" to stop supporting him. But since we can't seem to get any of them to even help in Iraq, where they can even get oil and contracts, I have little hope that will happen. Keep on "telling it like it is" and thanks for your emails. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
