Understanding Truth, No Matter the Language
Reader comment on item: Arab-Israeli Fatalities Rank 49th
in response to reader comment: Grave mensonge autour de la mort de Mohammed al Dorra

Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Oct 17, 2007 at 12:22

A response to the reader from Tunisia might take a defensive turn if those of whom that are reading this in English might feel that those who do their thinking in English only are the only ones to face the problems with Islamic-based issues.

Au contraire, they are faced by all who deem the threat from terrorist Islamic extremists, maybe especially those with close international ties to Middle Eastern and African ex-colonies such as France.

Apparently, as this reader's very poor understanding of French has been able to determine, the intent of our French speaking Tunisian fellow writer is to tell us that not all that is portrayed in Middle Eastern events is the truth, such as in the mentioned death of that child (was he 'Palestinian'?), erroneously reported as being caused by the IDF or other Israeli forces.

"Grave mensonge autour de la mort de Mohammed al Dorra," evidently means "serious lie around the death of Mohammed al Durra," pointing to the death of that young boy who died in the hands of his father as shown on the media some time back. The wrong people were blamed, namely the Israelis'.

This points to a part of the greater problem facing the issues of the Middle East, and the misrepresentations of the facts surrounding it all. The media viewing public is transfixed on the images sent by satellite around the world, so much so that unless there is a specific effort to portray the truth of those images, any story can be told and use those images for support of such distortions. In the case of the Middle East, it is always the nation of Israel portrayed as the villains and are the ones who must pay the ultimate price according to most of those willing to sacrifice Israel for peace.

In the greater scheme of things, Israel, and more specifically Jerusalem, is the centerpiece of the world events being played out today. Listen and read all of the squabbling over the ‘Palestinian' intent to make Eastern Jerusalem the capital of the PA, or maybe the center of the Jordanian protectorate as it once was after World War II. Much is afoot, though, in other sectors of the Middle East, where discussions of what to do about Israel swirl like so many nightmares of the Arabian nights or in the tales of Scheherazade. Notice where the President of the Commonwealth of Independent States spent the eve of the ninetieth anniversary of the Soviet revolution, having decidedly friendly discussions about Russian-Iranian relations with the sworn enemy of Israel and posturing like a lawyer with his client. The Holy Bible speaks of just such things.

It all points to this, that the people of this planet need to realize that the preparations for the next phase of this world's existence is just about ready,……to explode! Now, there are plenty of explanations as to how, why, where or when this cavalcade of events might occur, but the real question is, will any of us really be ready when it does?

The message is just plainly this. The One for whom all these things are being prepared is ready to assert His claim, that He is the ruler of all things, and He is about ready to make good on His promise. The earth is straining under the pain of the human existence trying to live without Almighty God's love, hence global warming. The universe above is screaming for the justice of Almighty God to prevail as the galaxies and stars collide in violent protest of the imbalances. Earth rumbles under the storms and earthquakes and volcanoes, waiting for a peace to come over it all. So yes, the Christ is about to make His return call.

If anyone who is reading this really wants to understand it all, understand this. Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay for the sins of humankind. Praying to ask for and accept forgiveness for our individual sins and asking Jesus Christ to enter into our hearts is the only way to be prepared for whatever life brings, and to prepare for an eternity of love, with Him on the throne of our individual lives.
