What is significant about this conflict

All of the wars, all of the dead and wounded are so due to a united Arab intent to wipe Israel from the map. It is the Holocaust all over except this time Jews have an army to defend themselves. For Jews, it has been wars of survival. For Arabs, it has been wars of annihilation. No other conflict has this underlying truth.
