DataReader comment on item: Arab-Israeli Fatalities Rank 49th Submitted by Karen (United States), Oct 8, 2007 at 18:50 I am familiar with the Correlates of War project and Rummel's work, both cited above. However, I would like to know if all of the figures in the list include civilian deaths along with military deaths. Not because I disagree with the placement of the Arab-Israeli conflict, but because I would love to use this data in the International Relations classes I teach but need to be certain of both the authenticity of the data and the comparability across cases. Any additional information will be appreciated by me and, perhaps, useful to other interested readers. Thanks for your time. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please. Comments are screened and in some cases edited before posting. Reasoned disagreement is welcome but not comments that are scurrilous, off-topic, commercial, disparaging religions, or otherwise inappropriate. For complete regulations, see the "Guidelines for Reader Comments". Daniel Pipes replies: Yes, this list includes all deaths, military and civilian. Comment on this item
