Reader comment on item: Countries Threatened with Extinction

Jordan is Palestine. It is 77% of the British Palestine Mandate which was supposed to be divided between an Arab and a Jewish Palestine. The only reason the hashemites rule is due to their slaughter in 1921 by the Yemenite Saudi Clan, theirexplusion from Arabia and the British decision to "save' them by giving them land meant for Arab Palestine.

Today Jordan is overwhelmingly populated by Arabs of palestinian background ( 75%). It is demographically Palestine. It is historically Palestine. Only the Hashemites stand in the way of it being Palestine. If arafat had defeated King Hussein in 1977 during the so-called "Black September" war , it would be Palestine today.

"Poor, little" Jordan, a/k/a Trans-Jordan, a/k/a the Palestine Mandate, is mopre than three times the size of Israel. There is more than enough land to settle the 3-4 million palestinians in Judea & Samaria as well as the refugees in Lebanon, Syria and other nations. We have seen 2+ million Iraqis move to Syria and Jordan over the last couple of years without international funding and not a word is mentioned by Arab or Western nations. Moving 3 million palestinians to Jordan with international funding is very, very do-able. Especially since that is their home and where most palestinians already live.
