Turkey is not an Islamic State

in response to reader comment: Four muslim states in Europe : Albania , Bosnia , Kosovo and Turkey .....................

Turkey undoubtedly has a lot of Muslims in it but it is absolutely not an Islamic state. Islamic attire is illegal. The Latin alphabet is used. It has a secular constitution and army. Women have equal rights. It is a long standing NATO member. It did not back the Axis in WW2. It is rare (though not unheard of) for Christians to be murdered there in recent years. If things get tough the people don't rise, the army takes over and declares martial law.

Plus, it's not really in Europe at all. The state was founded by Ataturk, who was a military man who recognised and publicly stated that Islam had weakened Turkey and brought it no political advantage. Bosnia and Kosovo, on the other hand, are most definitely in Europe and are on their way to becoming Islamic theocratic states. They were founded by the USA for no apparent reason.

Bosnian Muslims formed an SS Division in WW2. They have no history of self government. Their main expertise is killing Christians, demolishing their homes, churches and relics, and training Islamic terrorists. Bin Laden was a frequent visitor to Bosnia. If the US wanted Fort Dix blown up that badly, couldn't they just have got local contractors in to do the job and saved Europe a lot of headaches?
