Reader comment on item: Countries Threatened with Extinction
in response to reader comment: How far behind is the US?

Islamization is taking root in the US as well. It has a harder road to travel, but it will occur, thanks to hate speech laws that discourage anyone even making fun of Mohammad unless they want to get sued. We can't even report suspicious behavior without the threat of a lawsuit. The lawsuits may be bogus, but why would anyone want the aggravation? Defending yourself costs money.

Even so, Islamization isn't the only reason or even the primary reason countries will disappear. We have international organizations filled with unelected bureaucrats and we are allowing them to dictate our laws. The UN says it is a violation of human rights to prevent someone from crossing your border. We have the ICC and the World Court. We have the WTO, which can dictate to individual countries what their trade laws should be. Bit by bit, we are surrendering the sovereignty of the nation-state to supranational structures. Eventually those divisions of earth that we call countries will become provinces in larger organizations. Islamization is not a precondition for that. It's happening in North America as we speak and Islam is not a factor. Isn't the same thing happening in Europe? What is the purpose of the EU Constitution, if not to ultimately create one ruling body for all of Europe? How can an EU parliament coexist with the various European parliaments? Won't the national parliaments eventually be reduced to "local" governing bodies with the main decisions taken in Brussels? None of these unions are the result of Islamization.
