Reader comment on item: Countries Threatened with Extinction

Seeing the Arab-Israeli conflict as "the motor force for the entire region's conflict" is indeed absurd. Looking at the situation geographically, the entire state of Israel is less than one-quarter the size of California. Tell that to people who are familiar with California and they look at you like you have two heads. According to my Atlas, which grant you is outdated, 70% of Jordan is Palistinian. It's not like they have nowhere else to go.

The resulting inevitable conclusion is: Middle Eastern conflict consists of millenia of in-fighting; if they try to point to Israel, now, as an "un-justified" (geographically speaking) situation, all any Middle-Eastern loyalist is doing is displaying their ancestral inherent rabid greed. I say, are you kidding me? Go home, clean up your own "back-yard", organize your own "Islamic State", show it as a "Utopia" to the world, and then, just maybe, your endless dribble of "Allah is Great" will begin to sound coherent. -JS
