ISLAMIC IRREDENTISMReader comment on item: Countries Threatened with Extinction Submitted by DAVID R. GROESBECK (United States), Aug 8, 2007 at 03:06 As the eminent scholar Bat Ye'or correctly pointed out in her latest work EURABIA, the Arab/Israeli dispute is essentially a local phenomena & could have been settled decades ago if land & boundaries were truly the only issues involved. What the west fails to realize is that it is the fundamentall nature of expansionist Islam that is at issue. Islam has & still does divide the world into two spheres-dar al Islam(lands under Islamic control) and dar al Harb(lands not yet under Islamic control & thus literally 'lands of war" to be conquered). Small Islamic states like those under consideration have had unacceptable contact with the infidel west & therefore must be reabsorbed by larger states. Interesting thing about Islam-it doesn't change or morph into something more "acceptable". It is what it always has been-predatory,expansionist,intolerant & contemptuous of human life.
