The way I see Europe being saved

Reader comment on item: Muslim Europe

The only way I see a reaction to the Islamization of Europe is: a) A rise in the economic and political might of former Iron Curtain Eastern Orthodox Europe combined with b) An alliance with true conservatives of Western Europe.

The problems this solution faces are that Eastern Orthodoxy is the most scapegoated religion in Western Civilization next to Judaism, which Reagan nearly ended but it's been reinvigorated by idiots like Bill Clinton. We need to get over that, and fast.

Another problem is that the Western European Right, while not Nazis and at this point swarming with respectable rightists, is still tainted by the spectre of racism and anti-Semitism. They need to get over that just as fast. Despite these difficulties, there are some signs of hope.

For example Romania's military and business strength is growing, as is Western interest in that nation's underappreciated historic struggle against Muslim invaders (i.e. our hero Vlad the Impaler is finally starting to get the respect he deserves). And there are signs of the EU countries' Rightists attempting to turn themselves around. For example, Jean-Marie Le Pen's daughter and proposed successor Marine shares his alarm over an Islamicized France, but often clashes with him over his racism and anti-Semitism. Still, the Le Pen name will probably be an obstacle for her and the more mainstream wing of the Front National, and Orthodoxophobia is still rampant. God help us all.
