All we need is a spark

Reader comment on item: Muslim Europe

This among many issues like this troubles me everyday, to think that we as a people have lost our sense of self. the leaders of all of our countries dont seem to have the common man's interest in their hearts. Only their apparent unquenchable thirst for more money for their immediate circle of what might as well be called nobles. I live in the great country of america, where now is standard practice to promote diversity and equality of all peoples and religions.

This is a principle in which i believe but why must it be only in our fatherlands, if we went to their countries to live how do you think we might be treated. If all non white nationalities are able to have and maintain their own culture in countries where we may not go or influence, while the whole time sending thier overflow to our beautiful countries what is the inevitable. Cultural and racial dilution, we as europeans will cease to exsist. its sad to be one of the smart ones who can see this coming.

Do we really need a religion to bind us can we not simply unite under the flag of common ancestry and cultural achievments, we have made nearly everything in the modern world cars, airplanes, computers, telephone, satilites, spaceshuttles, we have even put men on the moon. Unlike a lot of americans i still remember where i came from and it pains me greatly be here and have little to no power to help. Our ancestors would laugh in shock and horror to see what we are letting happen right under most of our noses.

In america it is much further along, maybe not towards islam but definently towards non western culture. In my country if you are white and poor your completely screwed. Like me. I dont qualify for loans to go to school because i am white if i were a foreigner, black, or mexican i would have a full ride wouldnt even have to pay anything back..

This is just one of many instances where white are reverse discriminated upon. On television it has become common place to sling racial slurs like whitey, redneck, hillbilly, by people of color and this is completly ok. If a white man dared uttered any sort of racial coment towards anybody he is automatically declared a racist. Many have been fired from radio and television.

I dont get why we accept that we are the ones being racist. What happend to racial pride. Japans leaders have said they are "a one race nation" but this is seen as cultural pride. Why do so many of you feel like you cant have a sense of racial pride and still not hate anyone. Just declare a love of yourself, your people, and the culture you are from.

Even as a fourth generation german american, i would still come back to fight any war to protect where we are from whether it be militarily or cultural. I just hope that i as an american dont have more european pride than my brothers and sisters that have remained in the homeland. May our spirit as a people rekindle and i beg all of you wake up.
