Not so bad

Reader comment on item: Muslim Europe

How can you possibly blame Muslims for the low Christian birth-rate? How can you blame them for practising what were once highly touted 'Christian' values such as sobriety, thrift, industry and charity? The truth is that the immigration and labour policies of the post-war elites are to blame more than anything. Rather than investing money in training their citizens for well-paid work and safe-guarding the rights of workers, these people chose instead to allow in large numbers of workers from other countries so as to dilute the living standards/ wages of the working classes all over the Western world. Well, the working classes are not stupid. They can pretty clearly see what's going on and they are choosing not to reproduce. Maybe if our 'leaders' had a few more Christian values themselves then they would not be lamenting the demise of them amongst the general population.
