Cultural Dilution

In my experience there is a direct relationship between religious belief (any religious belief) and birth rates. The more prevelant and fervent he religious practice, the higher the birthrate. Falling birthrates go hand in hand wth increasing rates of religious unbelief.

All of the government administered social welfare systems are only workable if the working population far exceeds the dependent (retired) population. This can only occur if 1) The population is constantly increasing or 2) Average life expectancy is close to the retirement age. Since life expectancy has been gradually increasing at the same time birth rates are falling all of the Western nations are facing a crisis.

Immigration can be used to keep the population growing but then comes the problem of cultural dilution. The immigrants have no cultural attachment to the adopted nation and, as somone observed, how long will they wish to support an elderty populaton that has no cultural or biological connection to them.

Nations like Russia and Japan that do encourage immigration are facing population implosion as the costs of supporting retirees through taxation makes it difficult for young people to reproduce beyond the token 1 to 2 children.

The ruling classes have been attempting to promote acceptance of the immigrants by promoting multiculturalism. This is a grave mistake. It has the unintended consequence of devaluating the native culture. My wife worked as a school teacher and she would report that students were more likely to know the name of minor historical figures that were deemed to be polictically correct and inclusive such as Harriet Tubman (African American) Sacajawea (Native American) Cesar Chavez (Mexican American) than they were to know about Abraham Lincoln, George Washington or Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

A Muslim Europe would be a cvilizational catastrophe that the ruling elites seem to be actively promoting.
