Reader comment on item: Muslim Europe

India has suffered waves of violent invasion. All except the British are absorbed.we have to learn to live together.Europe will survive and benefit from multiculturalism. It is impossible to undo the immigration and all outsiders have to be absorbed into european culture. Maybe, it will be different from the past yet, essentially it will retain the central tenets of european culture. In my view, the gradual reform of Islam through the moderates is the only peaceful, viable alternative to bloodshed and violence. Political sagacity and maturity is needed to handle this fusion of the two mighty religions if we have to avoid unmitigated war. In the heart of Europe, two religions are meeting in different environment and christianity as a whole must absorb the immigrants with their freedom of religion and religious practices consistent with their loyalty to the nation. While guarding the political integrity of the European Union and not compromising at all on this issue, the immigrants may be allowed to wear their religion on their sleeve and be a part of free Europe. Too much suspicion will do no good to anyone.
