No, the original article is about Muslims who murder with an Islamist motiveReader comment on item: Jihad or Criminality? Submitted by sara (United States), Mar 28, 2013 at 19:46 Muslim sounding names' has nothing to do with what we are discussing. There have been plenty of Islamist murderers without Muslim sounding names as well. No one here is painting with a broad brush saying that all Muslims are anything. What must be acknowledged is the reality that some Muslims are killing for the declared purpose of their religion. And moreover, many other Muslims are so afraid to admit it that they focus on apologizing for Islam instead of agreeing that there are Muslims who kill in the name of Islam. Latino gangbangers that you mention do not proclaim their faith as their reason for violence. The fact that they are Catholic or other religion is purely coindicental and not their motivation. Do you see the difference? We are only talking about people who kill or use violence in the name of their religion, All religions are not any one thing, but most religion's purpose is charitable work, helping, feeding, donating. Not killing innocents (or as they perceive it, in the defense of Islam) Yes, it is a dangerous road to travel, to lump everyone into a group simply because of their shared religion or skin color or any other association. That is not what we are doing. We are listening to those who emphatically state that they are killing because of their God. Are you listening?
