Drawing new followers from Prisons

If Islam is as claimed the fastest growing religion, drawing new followers from prisons is sure to make an impact.

Either as Islam, being the self proclaimed religion of Peace, would put the convicts on the road to redemption, OR, the criminal backgrounds would be used as shock troops for Radical Islam.
