Quranic disasters and the word bismReader comment on item: Friendless in the Middle East Submitted by dhimmi no more (United States), Feb 7, 2012 at 07:12 Our dear Amin cannot read speak or write Arabic but this does not stop him from telling us that he consulted with not one but 4 Syriac dictionaries and he could not find the word Bism and that it is really a Syriac word Matthew 10:41 ܡܢ ܕܡܩܒܠ ܢܒܝܐ ܒܫܡ ܢܒܝܐ ܐܓ This is from the Syriac Peshitta (Syriac Bible and it is Arabic Basita) and the word is higlighted and it is ܒܫܡ Now it seems clear that you did not check any Syriac dictionary as you claimed and this makes you and you must pardon me a liar and it means that bism in the Islamic basmala is really a loan word from the Syriac Bism and what a disaster the words of Allah are really not Arabic but Syriac Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
