Reader comment on item: Goodbye Ankara
in response to reader comment: Anachronism as "history"

Submitted by Safa Bal (Turkey), Oct 15, 2011 at 17:28

"Well, the genocides perpetrated by the Turkish Moslems in Europe go back to the 11 century and the brutal Seljuk invasions.They are continued by the Ottoman animals and culminate between 1915-1923 in multiple genocides of the Armenians, the Greeks and the Assyrians and go on until now with the oppression and expulsion of the Kurds."

I am sorry to tell you that; these lines represent nothing but lies. First of all; If Ottomans wanted to kill greeks, they could simply do it. Tell me who could stop them? Crusaders? Your polish knights? :)

Ottomans were different than any other westerner power such as Brits, French, Spanish. Do you want me to tell you what they have done during 19th and 20th centuries?

furthermore;
Greece still has her own culture like Serbia, Croatia, Romania and etc...

... Therefore your comments do not make any sense. I am done with you.
