The Time is Approaching for Turkey

Reader comment on item: Goodbye Ankara

Submitted by M. Tovey (United States), Sep 6, 2011 at 14:02

The inevitability of Turkey's new posturing in the Middle East REQURIED the expulsion of the Israeli presence, for a number of reasons- just a couple are here.

Besides the obvious, of the increasing resurgence of enmity between the Islamist mentality overwhelming the Turkish government (are the people so far removed-read some of the Turkish sympathies written earlier here), there are the 'other' diplomatic issues that were obviously a problem for the Turkish government officials, that of an Israeli presence in Turkey during the planning of hostilities being directed towards Israel.

All the rest of Turkey's intentions are already made manifest: all that remains is the timing.
