Reader comment on item: Back to the Shores of Tripoli?
in response to reader comment: End is near

Submitted by the Grand Infidel of Kaffiristan (Australia), Mar 17, 2011 at 22:32

Mr A Riaz, pretending he has addressed points made in a previous response writes:"

"...Palestine is hardly a govt and is a poor extreme example. PLO had no authority, it never did. The region is controlled by Israel. What exactly is it that Hamas does now that is different from before. It was common knowledge those who supported Hamas - whether they chose it or not hardly in the case matters. How can you have a govt without country, law, authority, sovereign and institutions."

A straw man. Palestine was not the only government mentioned. Iran, Iraq, Saudi, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan etc. But if you're up to it -your task is to now try and obfuscate the issues surrounding that most muslim of countries - Pakistan

"...I find it astounding you were not able to able to make the difference."

I suppose you are trying to say 'see' the difference rather than 'make'? Between the PLO and other muslim governments? Of course they will exist. The point being made nevertheless was that muslims voted these people in. True or not? Unfortunately the original link was left out of the text - that showed the mentality of of voters who elected Hamas.

"....Western sexual morality is wrong and incompatible with Christianity and Judaism."

Yet we have other muslims on this blog (yourself included?) who try to justify a 53 year old man sleeping night after night with a nine year old girl - and in the same breath claim him to be some sort of 'prophet'?

"There is difference between morality and what is legal or not. "

That is true and also irrelevant in this case. The point being made that as well as being immoral, XX rated pornography and bestiality - is also illegal in Muslm countries. But yet we find Pakistani citizens in their online search for pictorial accounts of the most base behaviours quite happily breaking their cult's moral code AND AS WELL breaking the civil laws of their country .

"...There is difference between treatment of women and sexual morality. You seem to have blurred the distinction and gotten mixed up."

How do you draw that conclusion?

"...All the juicy questions all you had to come up with was "yeah right""

Irony is lost on you I guess. YOu were crticising the aberrant behaviour of priests - which you have been made aware of by reports made available the open and relentless western media. If you had bothered to click the links in that sentence they would have taken you to reports of paedophilic imams. Homosexual paedophilic imams to be more conscise

"Western morality is even more degrading overall then it was at Victorian times"

Well, when people were so prudish they had to cover table legs in some circles - modern Turkey must be a den of depravity for you.

." The thing with picking and choosing with what you reply to is what you leave out. And you left out that it is sex appeal that is used to sell everything - even to 7yr olds....."

It was left out because it was irrelevant. But seeing that you brought that particular point up - references please? Can you give us an example of the incident ?

Most countries have advertising standards and laws against the sexual exploitation of children. The beauty of having a free and open society is that it allows everyone to participate - you will soon get groups of people lobbying against TV stations etc when 7 year olds are being expoited.

"....If west was so civilised why all the crime, teen pregnancy, women as sex objects, child exploitation, DRUG abuse, violent crime, domestic abuse, violent crime - the rates are up there as the worst and among the worst."

Really - the best solution is to vote with your feet. If you don't like it - leave. I'm sure it has been suggested to you before. Why don't you take up the offer if it is so bad? You are free in the UK to leave if you want to.

Anyway let's examine the points. Teen pregnancies - do they happen in muslim countries? Ok , that was a leading question. You well know they happen in muslim countries. As do arranged marriages to close relatives. As do marriages between middle aged men and early teenagers. That behaviour is illegal in Western countries. Drug abuse: Who grows Opium in Afghanistan - any idea? .

Is khat only poplar in Yemen? "...violent crime" - sharia is a violent crime in itself

"...so why was it that in UK most politician were found to be thieving money from the public. So many went down for it. The "Home Secretary" of UK paid for her husbands pornmag with public money and etc. T he scandal was awesome and of unprecedented corruption. As bad as any in the developed world?"

I have no idea about the behaviours of British politicians - it's also irrelevant. As irrelevant to me personally as any similar case involving Saudi sheiks or muslim (often asylum seekers) in England or elsewhere thieving money from the State purse (i.e. UK taxpayers)

"West has OBVIOUS technological and economical advantages. Britain & Europe led industrial revolution built on exploiting Asia through colonial rule."

The industrial revolution was initiated in Europe (incl. the UK) and the first people to be exploited were British workers themselves. So please don't try that old furphy of 'poor innocent muslims were exploited that's why they are among the world's most backward people now'

"USA itself is an immigrant country with less history than my grandfather."

So your grandfather was born prior to 1776 ?? Hey, aren't buraks grand - with their peacock tail feathers and all?

"...Now the world is looking Asian - with rise of India and China - this advantage will go. Morally bankrupt West already is...."

and I suppose the unstated assumption is that the 'superior' muslim world will rise supreme? After having contributed nothing to the advancement of science and technology , social systems or in general world security in the last 500 years (at least)

"Another thing is passing of biased and totally fraudulent references as credible."

If you don't like researched third party accounts of events and statistics that prove your statements patently false - that's your business. It does not change facts on the ground.

"It doesn't work. "

i.e. you don't like it

"....Why do you think I will be interested in those?"

Who cares? Other people will be able to make their own judgement.
