We didn't intervene in Algeria

Reader comment on item: Back to the Shores of Tripoli?

Submitted by There is NO Santa Claus (United States), Mar 16, 2011 at 07:24

I don't see a lot of intervention in Libya's civil war on the horizon. The Algerian civil war festered for 10 years without US intervention. Not sure Europe intervened much but perhaps the French supported the government over the Islamists in some way.

On an unrelated issue, I have a question for Dr. Pipes: Do you think it's time to consider strengthening the multi-national force in the Sinai?

I don't know enough to answer but from what I understand, it is adequately staffed for its mission.
