I agree with Dr. Pipes, that the US should not get involved in humanitarian objectives in Libya; that would mean getting involved in yet again another war on foreign soil----do we need to lose more lives and lessen our reputation even further? However, it may be in our best interest to put troops there in charge of protecting our oil fields. The Middle East has seen many instances of oil field sabotage in the past few years. Being familiar with the oil industry, I know for certain that the protection of these fields is of the utmost importance, not just for the local and foreign workers in the fields, but for the future of the oil industry worldwide.
