Send in the Marines

Reader comment on item: Back to the Shores of Tripoli?

Submitted by Edward Cline (United States), Mar 10, 2011 at 22:24

Yes, send in the Marines -- to take back the private property, chiefly the oil fields, that were confiscated by the Libyans, and hand it back to their rightful owners. I'd recommend the same thing for Iran and Saudi Arabia. Failing that, open up Alaska and and our sea coasts to drilling, to get this country from under the thumb of dictators and other parasites. I frankly don't give a camel's turd about the Libyans or Tunisians or Egyptians. All they're all looking for is a new master to bow to. Why should the West care what they think or do? The only Mideast people who have demonstrated a glimmering of what freedom is are the Iranians, and they're the ones the Obama administration isn't interested in helping. It figures. Obama isn't for freedom, either.
