Dueling Fatwas- reply to Plato once more

Reader comment on item: Dueling Fatwas
in response to reader comment: CURMALLY: Islam has to earn respect not have it bludgeoned into us

Submitted by Fazal Habib Curmally (Pakistan), Oct 17, 2010 at 03:00

I was Mumbai born as was my Father and my Mother was Pune born. My paternal Grandfather came from Cutch. Sorry i am not even a closet Arab But I am student of history.

If you think I employ a superior tone, then may in all humility suggest you stop getting worked up. Once you do that, you too will find a easier to marshal your facts and put them done with greater effect.

Get your facts straight about the Turkish massacre of Armenians. to what extent did the Armenians try to rise up and break away from Turkey. But then I cannot condone the massacre if it did take place. I believe the international fora are doing something in that direction.

In so far as saying no more to some people, the subject before us is Dueling Fatwas. What have you or anyone else said on the subject? In much the same way if you get personal or abusive, I don't see any reason to take any nonsense from anybody. I have tried my best to be polite and respectful but if you think that is a weakness, then you don't know your arse from your elbow. Can you write on the subject before us?

I will not stand up to for any insults to my religion or my Prophet. Not you or I can change history but we can determine the future. It was with that spirit I wrote my replies to you and asked you repeatedly not to go into the form of argument our exchange of emails has taken.. Yes there will come a time when I will stop writing to you as I did with Dhimmi no more. What you say has nothing to do with Dueling fatwas but a broadside against Islam and Muslims in general. Why am I not taken aback. Indian s have a habit to referring to Pakistanis as porky. Do we all you bhaji palak or dhoti tight? Have I made any reference to your religion or religious practices? In your next mail stick to the subject or else I'm gone.
