Out of (self) control

Reader comment on item: Dueling Fatwas

Perhaps it is the somewhat civilised boundaries that were artificial and what we have now is just good old human nature getting back to its primitive drive of: "You will do what I say or I will kill you."

Welcome the stone age and just write of a couple of millenia of human development, substantially based it would seem to me, on the Judeo/Christian ethic.

It is indeed an anomaly that we have the stone age ethic able to use the technology that has come out of the development achieved so far, for its destruction. (With the further temptation to reciprocate that same ethic against those that would destroy what has been achieved so far.)

I suppose it's like rats in a massive grain store, at the moment. Party Time!!

Of course, to continue the analogy, if the situation continues the grain will become polluted and run out and we will all starve or be otherwise destroyed in this orgy of destruction.
