That NIE Makes War against Iran More LikelyReader comment on item: That NIE Makes War against Iran More Likely Submitted by David MacKAY (Canada), Dec 12, 2007 at 21:08 The NIE report of December 3rd is no surprise. That it was suppressed this long is no surprise. Career bureaucrats filtering information to shape public opinion is what Liberalism is all about. If you want to change the minds of a people in a democratic nation it can only be accomplished through the year by year education provided by socialist bureaucrats. After all why does the State Department seem to function contrary to the wishes of the President? Why do career appointments in the CIA foster so many of the wishes of President Carter and Clinton and not the current president? It is hardly a guess as to which leadership it was that placed such liberal minded persons in government to advance socialist causes. Unfortunately when there is a real test - the Liberal mindset cannot defend North America from 12 million Hezbollah controlling Iran and who through proxy are infiltrating the west. 20th Century history has already shown that you could not appease any change in Nazi thinking. How is it then that Liberalism forgets and thinks it can pursuade change in the even more fanatical mind set of the Islamist Terrorists or the governments that support them by proxy of otherwise? After 9/11 the United States and it's then Allies peremptorily invaded Iraq. Vladimir Putin when interviewed for comment said "Why Iraq, why not Iran"? Putin was questioning what many at the time were questioning. Was American intelligence so out to lunch that they had not seen Iranian/Whahabism fully sponsoring Islamic terrorists in the former Yugoslavia, Croatia and Serbia? Had the Americans not seen the Iranian connections destabilizing Democracy in Chechnia and in the other former Soviet republics? If Bush had invaded Iran, Russia would have been America's staunchest ally in the war on terror. From that point on Hezbollah's control, training, and funding would have been all but ended. Putin knows that Hezbollah activity is necessary to Mideast dictators who need a reason to blame the west for all of the problems created by those dictators. This blame is all that keeps Mid-east Dictatorships in power! With a neutralized Iran the hope of true Democracy in all Mideast countries would have been a possibility. Ending Iran's funding and control of Hezbollah would have ended the myth that Israel and the US are the two Satans. The U.S. did not use the window to invade Iran. Instead Putin had to visit Bush at his home in Texas as well as in Maine to listen to a hopelessly blind president and his father chortle of what winning in Iraq would mean. To Putin it means nothing so far as Russia and Eastern Europe are concerned. If Russia is to be protected from Iranian sponsored Islamists they will have to do it themselves. After all, Putin sees the EU like the U.S. as equally paralyzed about the Islamist reality. The NIE report is nothing more than the Bureaucracy's support for the Democrat domination of Congress and the Senate. The report echo's the Liberasl dominated Intelligence apparatus that lead to 9/11. The report is but an Olive branch if you will in the never ending and naïve support of appeasement, to appease a Fanatical Bully called Ahmadinejad. Not a bully the likes of Hitler. No after all Hitler sent his uniformed storm troopers to invade neighboring countries. Ahmadinejad sends his plainclothes army the Hezbollah into neighboring nations by proxy. Democrats know that means a difference doesn't it?
