Dear Prof Pipes,

My best wishes for THE NEW YEAR 2007 TO YOU AND YOUR COLLEAGUES AT MEF. I beg to disagree with your statement that aggression does not flow from Islam, just because a generation ago did not inspire murderousness. You are a great scholar of Islam.Yet I venture to add that there are enough numbers of Ayats (in the Quran) which openly urge believers to smash, kill or maim the Kafirs.

You have already provided the answer in a later paragraph ie. to bring about a Caliphate all over the world the inspiration for the murderousness. One of the solutions is to socially ostracise the families providing their sons for jehad activities.
