Response to OctavioReader comment on item: How the Cartoon Protests Harm Muslims Submitted by John Anonymous Smith (United States), Feb 27, 2006 at 21:12 Octavio's comment:"Yes, Mr. Amir, it is about illegal immigration. In America, it is Mexicans, in Europe it is Muslims from the Middle East and North Africa. And Middle-Easterns and North Africans come into Europe as illegal immigrants." Octavio, this was the specific paragraph I was responding to. Note the stupid racist slant about how it is all about illegal immigration and the broad brush used to disguise your xenophobic attitude by bringing in the totally irrelevant example of Mexicans in America. Show me ONE single ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT leave alone Mexican, who has launched a terrorist attack in Europe or US or anywhere in the world. Do you even understand the definition of an illegal immigrant first of all? A person holding a student visa who then flies a plane into the WTC is NOT an illegal immigrant. A person who applies for asylum and then waits for the application to be processed is NOT an illegal immigrant. Every single terrorist who has made the front page from Atta to Hamza to Richard Reid to Padilla was legally in the country he was considered a terrorist in. The issue of Mexican immigrants in the US has absolutely NOTHING to do with Islamic terrorism.
