Illegal Immigration and Octavio JohansonReader comment on item: How the Cartoon Protests Harm Muslims Submitted by John Anonymous Smith (United States), Feb 25, 2006 at 16:46 To Octavio Johanson:Your repeated rants against illegal immigration are understandable but they once again underscore the pathetic understanding of some Europeans regarding the big picture concerning Islamic immigration. There are a lot of illegal immigrants from Mexico in the US but the fact remains that most of the 9/11 terrorists were neither illegal, nor Mexican nor were they immigrants. These people lived in Europe legally and visited the US legally on valid visas to carry out the attacks. The American Taliban guy was a white American born and raised in California just like the white European woman who blew herself up in Iraq. I would bet pretty much all the 10000 people who demonstrated in London against the cartoons (carrying "death to infidels" placards) are LEGAL Britons. Its unfortunate that a bunch of foolish, racist people like yourself take this as an opportunity to cry foul against Mexican immigrants when the issue has nothing to do with illegal immigrants from Mexico. Most muslims enter Europe legally as asylum seekers or through other legal means. Its time for developed countries to reform their immigration laws and make it easier for a Mexican laborer in demand to successfully migrate to the US and at the same time make it impossible for an uneducated muslim to migrate to the West. This analysis would be beyond ...you unfortunately. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
