Education and Technologies are transferable in every nation but not oil fields. In more and more domains, Chinese can replace the Occidentals. An isolation of both Islamic world and Occident will mean that China will get a privileged access to the middle-eastern oil, and its worlwide power and influence will soar. That's why it's important to keep (or bring) Russia in our side to have a smooth transition to a post-oil economies... Even in that case, the price of transition will remain high. Are Occidentals ready to pay this price? Both the well-being of our planet and our civilization depend on it. Both ecologists and patriots should unite effort to bring the occidental population in this common goal.
