Europe and the MuslimsReader comment on item: How the Cartoon Protests Harm Muslims Submitted by Octavio Johanson (Italy), Feb 27, 2006 at 15:06 I do think that we should negotiate with European Muslims. A confrontation should be avoided because neither of us would benefit. Of course, I would never hurt Harrak or damage his BMW. I hope he enjoys his tennis matches. But, I cannot help thinking that we have made a huge mistake in allowing 20,000,000 Muslims to enter the European Union. A few thousands would have been more than enough. If I want to meet foreign cultures, I prefer to travel and go where they are. Europe is either Catholic or Protestant or Jewish. It is not personal about Harrak. I am sure he is a very clever man. That's not the point. I think Europe would be better off if the Muslim community was smaller.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
