To Harrak: There are no translation problems only your lack of PerspicacityReader comment on item: How the Cartoon Protests Harm Muslims Submitted by Richard Lion heart (United States), Feb 26, 2006 at 15:54 You keep acusing God of being a murderer. That is what you are doing because He's the one who ordered the Israelites to destroy these nations. Obviously you have som issue with that. You quoted this passage:1 Samuel 15:2-4 2 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I remember that which Amalek did to Israel, how he laid wait for him in the way, when he came up from Egypt. 3 Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass. 4 And Saul gathered the people together, and numbered them in Telaim, two hundred thousand footmen, and ten thousand men of Judah. One thing you have to notice is the fact that all these nations were seeking to destroy Israel and the Jewish people, thus setting themselves against God. Pretty much the same way God destroyed the Egyptians for refusing to let Israel go. That punishment included the ten plagues. The most devestating of which was the killing of every Egyptian first born by God. What are your thoughts about the actions of God Harrak? One more thing. As a muslim you should feel particularily concern about this passage. As you can see God destroys those who set themselves against his edicts. Right now the majority of the muslim world would like to see the destruction of Israel, therefore setting themselves against God. It is God who long ago spoke through His prophet about the Jews returning to the land of Israel. Now the muslims like Amelek are setting themselves against what God ordained. Well Harrak, may be you should warn them that this is not a good idea. Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes.
