Mr. Pipes,

Without wishing to excuse this man's actions in any way I ask : Have you tried to put yourself in his place for even one minute ? Have you tried to understand and appreciate the conflicted situation in which has been placed ? The honorable thing for him to do might have been to refuse to go to Iraq and to suffer any consequences.

But it is obvious this man is unbalanced. He's mentally ill.
