No such thing as a true Muslim who is peaceful, according to Muslim texts

According to the texts, if you are Muslim and you are peace-loving and seek peaceful coexistence with Christians and Jews, you are a traitor and a hypocrite.

Which leads me to believe one of three things:

1) Peaceful Muslims do not know or have not been taught the entirety of their religious texts,
2) Peaceful Muslims are lying to the infidels
3) Peaceful Muslims are merely nominal Muslims or Muslims by default, as in "not Christian" and "not Jewish." They may be once-a-year Muslims, such as Christians who only go to church on Christmas but don't practice Christianity let alone give it much thought in their daily lives.
