Where will it end?Reader comment on item: [Hasan Akbar and] Murder in the 101st Airborne Submitted by Veronica (United Kingdom), Mar 28, 2003 at 21:16 I don't believe you will be able to stop at just keeping an eye on Muslims, because if you create that kind of environment they will hide their identity, at least the ones who can will. The inherent problem with targeting specifically Muslims is you don't know who is and who isn't a muslim. It is impossible for us to know who is Muslim and who is not; how can we make the distiction? Yes, while many are of a different colour, there are many who aren't; if they should be watched too, then we all should be watched too! Maybe we are both secretly Muslim? So in defending our way of life, you are arguing that we should curtail the very essence of our way of life - our belief in freedom? That's an odd juxtaposition.Note: Opinions expressed in comments are those of the authors alone and not necessarily those of Daniel Pipes. Original writing only, please.
