Reader comment on item: What Are Islamic Schools Teaching?

Submitted by Prashant (United States), Nov 4, 2012 at 19:31

Dear Dr Pipes:

"What are Islamic schools in the US and Canada teaching?" you ask. Let me tell you what will they teach when they become sufficiently powerful. India has about 10 to 20% of Muslim possible but in the tradition of freedom and democracy, India allows religious schools to exists and function. And in this kind of freedom, Islamists thrive the most. So yesterday we got the news (reported by many Indian newspapers) that a Islamic high school in the city of Kanpur in India has made veil compulsory for the girl-student and, as an icing to the cake, the school also banned use of cell phones by the girl students. If you want to know what the Islamic schools teach or would teach, you now have the answer.

Now get ready for complete silence from Islamic apologists.
