Did know back in that time men were allowed to kill their wives if they suspected them of cheating. They were allowed to kill them on suspicion. This law was created by the clergymen of christianity. Islam put a stop to this. Why is it that when reporters go to Iraq and tell them that America is going to provide them freedom, the women turn and say that Islam had already done that 1500 years ago. I don't know where you got the fact that Mohammed was cruel. It is stated that he never laid a hand or even yelled at his wives. Not even a raised voice. He is supposed to be the example for all muslims. So in turn if he never abused his wives, neither should we, no matter what. Please don't be fooled by people who call themselves muslims and commit these atrocities and many more. In my book they are far from muslims.
