Mr/Mrs maggie millington I dont think there are that kind of extreme level restrictions for women as you said. In fact we men are taught to respect women and to keep them in higher grade. Our World is not only with the countries like Iran, Iraq and Afghanistan but there are several countries where u come to know, when u visit that what is actual Islam. There are no strict rules and regulations in our religion as u said. There are very few simple rules for their own safety. I dont knew what book u referred and stated to this extent. Our holy book i.e QURAN gives the directions to live in this world for both men and women. What ever the rules written in our holy book are strictly correct and moreover we dont want to become divorcees and you dont have right to say wrong about our precious and glorious book QURAN....
