My friend, I am a muslim woman and a liberated one at that. I own property, I am educated, I run a business, I command respect among men of my family and society.

OK I don't sleep around, I don't wear revealing attire, I'm not into drugs, I don't consume alcohol, I'm not 'gay' nor do I wake up next to strange men after a night of partying, nor to I produce children whose parentage is doubtful. Perhaps you need to blame my religion "Islam" for making me the way I am.

To you, I may seem backward and 'shackled' and 'deprived' but lady, I'd rather be what I am - primitive in eyes such as yours, and not a harlot or a whore. Mercifully, I have Islam which stops me from becoming one. I wish you too were fortunate enough to? At least your country would not have been ridden with such a high crime rate - of murders, rapes, incest, hate crimes against people of different colors or race (in Islam all are equal, by the way) - not to mention drugs and AIDS etc.. etc.. etc..

And for your information, the rights which my religion gave me 1400 years ago, your so-called advanced constitution gave you a few decades ago. It gave womenkind equality. We were given the right of inheritence, freedom to seek divorce, freedom to draft a pre-nuptial agreement - while you jews and christians of the west were still living in the dark ages. My Prophet (PBUH) was the greatest liberator of women of all times - that too in a society where women WERE treated like chattels and slaves. He gave to them 'respect', right to education, right to inheretence etc..

So lady, if at all, it should be I who should be feeling sorry for you - not the other way around.

And you know something - in your country, you called blacks 'n..s' Slavery was on until recently and they were not allowed to vote. Islam gave equalityto all, Muhammed liberated slaves and said all mankind is equal. We are therefore not supercilious like you guys.

As for you being a liberated westerner - has your religion given your country the right to bomb and destroy other countries, kill women and children, just to deflect attention from your president who was caught with his 'pants down' or destroy an entire civilization under the false pretext of it having WMDs when it was their oil that you really wanted. Maybe your religion teaches you to shed the blood of innocents (Remember the Spanish Inquisition). MINE certainly doesn't. As for the Al Qaida - they are not Muslims - they are monsters the US created to fight against USSR, the MI5 trained and the US armed. They are not part of us. They belong to you - ALL yours - so you keep them.
