Reader comment on item: CAIR's Inner Workings Exposed

Dear Dr. Pipes,
Any comments on the recent shooting at the US army base ? Is it, what you would call the "Sudden Jihad Syndrome". I am guessing you are waiting for the investigation to come to a conclusion before any comments :-)

Here in India, the national media carried the news about the shooting with the response of CAIR "they are going to come after us Muslims now". For the general public here who are unaware of CAIR's history, it surely sent the signals CAIR wanted to be sent.

It troubles me that

a. CAIR assumes the leadership and spokespersonship for all Muslims in the USA.

b. Their sheer lack of insensitivity with regard to non-Muslim lives. (This is nothing new as we know in Islam, the status of a non-believer is worse than being an animal destined for slaughter both now and hereafter, as the Quran itself states) It seems that every terrorist act or Jihad is more fodder for CAIR to raise shrill cries about the eternal victimhood of Muslims.

P.S.
Here's a heart warming story about a radical Muslim residing in NY who is using your First Ammendment :
