What they are "saying" ?Reader comment on item: CAIR's Inner Workings Exposed Submitted by Anne-Marie Delcambre (France), Oct 19, 2009 at 11:57 We know what they are "saying"- it is written in the Koran and the Sharia (the Islamic law).. Muslims can modernize their religion but that requires major changes in their Koran. For Muslims to build fully functioning modern Islam, they must reject the Sharia- the Islamic law. Islamists denounce democratic Islam as un-Islamic. They considere democracy a betrayal of Islamic values. They follow the traditional islam. Daniel Pipes wrote : "Islam, like all pre-modern religions is undemocratic in spirit. No less than the others, however, it has the potentiel to evolve in a democratic direction" I agree on half of this assertion. Such evolution is not easy for any religion but...for Islam nothing more difficult to do. "his potential to evolve" is scanty, almost nonexistent- because of Allah. It's Allah'fault /his fault ! He dictaded His conditions to Muslims ! There's nothing they can about that. Hassan Hanafi, professor of philosophy at the university of Cairo, said about the Koran Posterity will be the judge but ...it depends on us ( and I have faith in Daniel Pipes: he doesn't tilt at windmills ! ) whether modern Muslims succeed (or not) : whether they manage (or not) to do the impossible : to forbid Muslims the Islamic law.
