Hindu violence is reactive & not proactive like Islamic TerrorReader comment on item: The West's Islamist Infiltrators Submitted by TruthAloneTriumphs (India), Oct 4, 2008 at 12:48 This is an all too apparent attempt at Al-taqeya and deception by blaming somebody else and shifting focus. Hinduism, the oldest religious tradition that originated in the Indian subcontinent is often referred to as Sanātana Dharma (सनातन धर्म) by its practitioners, a Sanskrit phrase meaning "the eternal law". It is a highly tolerant and spiritual practice that acknowledges the diversity in faiths by observing that there are many paths to the divine. The root cause of Hindu violence is negation of indigenous Hindu heritage & conversion by inducement . The church needs to realize that the 'heathen' East has its own evolved Dharmic faith which predates Christianity by thousands of years. The Church has no business prosetlyzing everybody thinking that it earns them brownie points from the almighty. The Church has to get out of its 'White Man's burden' and 'Civilizing the savages' evangelism paradigms and look at India and her people as a formidable ally for future. Hindus are neither supremacist nor expansionist, nor they have any obligation to spread their faith to gain the goodwill of their creator. Hindu fundamentalism is an oxymoron, as there are no violent fundamental precepts in Hinduism. At the core of its philosophy is the belief that Universe is a play of consciousness and reality is an illusion. This has led to some great western minds to comment favourably about India & her Hindu heritage: "India was the motherland of our race, and Sanskrit the mother of Europe's languages: she was the mother of our philosophy; mother, through the Arabs, of much of our mathematics; mother, through the Buddha, of the ideals embodied in Christianity; mother, through the village community, of self-government and democracy. Mother India is in many ways the mother of us all". "If there is one place on the face of earth where all the dreams of living men have found a home from the very earliest days when man began the dream of existence, it is India."
