Father Zakaria Botros

Reader comment on item: The West's Islamist Infiltrators
in response to reader comment: How to defeat Jihad

I just spent some time reading and listening to this amazing Coptic priest, Zakaria Botros, who is a star in the Arabic TV station al-Hayat and I do believe that he lives in the US

What he does is very interesting: Through his mastery of Arabic he examines the Islamic literature, the Qur'an included, and then he presents it in ways that question the very basic foundation of Islam. Some of the examples are really funny as in the case of breast feeding of an adult by a woman so they would not have any sexual relations and the more sordid as in the case of the Quranic verses about concubines and that men can force themsleves on the wives and daughters of their enemies and the funny thing is no one has been able to refute what he is saying as he always uses primary sources in their primary language Arabic that is

The amazing thing is it seems that the Arab world is listening and many are really puzzled and angry about what Islam really tellls them to do. For anyone interested in reading about him you can check Raymond Ibrahim's writings about him and for those that know Arabic you can check it on youtube

But father Botros takes it one more step: he preaches his audience that Christianity is the answer and it seems that he is indeed gaining converts from islam and may be what we need to do is to expose Islam for what it is abut to also preach other religions as healthy options to islam

But is seems that there is a rumor that al-Qa3ida has a 60 million dollars reward for anyone who would kill him (Raymond Ibrahim believes that the amount is only 5 million dollars)

I really wish him all the best
