Just doesn't hold water

Reader comment on item: The West's Islamist Infiltrators
in response to reader comment: How far this "watching" should go?

It is easily provable that there are a least 300 million Muslims worldwide that practice or at least support radical Islam. This is a significantly funded, organized movement that has one purpose. To try and rule the world through Sharia Law. Moderate Muslims have done nothing to prove they are truly against radical Islam and are therefore in question.

Let me see 2 million Moderate Muslims take to the streets in an Islamic country and burn effigies of Osama bin Laden and company. Denounce radical Islam and cast out the scourge that is taken there religion from them. One can wish for this all they want, it is never going to happen. Unfortunately until Moderates truly pick a side (not just lip service) really pick a side, and fight on that side, they are part of the radical camp as well.

There are others, like yourself, that are no longer Muslims, but may appear to be "Muslim" due to your appearance. You may be discriminated against unfortunately, all the more reason for you and others like you to take a stand against radical Islam, and not simply quote to the west's human and civil rights issues and/or compare traditional crime to the worldwide radical Islamic movement. If I were you, I would be furious at what your EX religion has done to you - and continues to do to this day.

Angelical fundamentalist - is a nice word that you have made up, but it has no basis. There are NO current or past "Angelical fundamentalist" that are trying to take the world by whatever means necessary. The only "religion" that has such an agenda, as stated in its holy books, is Islam. No where in the Bible does it say to take the world and force Christianity on everyone by whatever means necessary.

While it is true that there are criminal efforts under way that may need to be watched (and actually are being watched) today radical Islam is on the top of the list and needs to be dealt with accordingly. If that means some people get there rights occasionally trashed - it is unfortunate, but it needs to happen, until the overall picture changes enough to allow the true intentions of Islam to be know - as a whole. It is simply the logic thing to do. Freedom is too important.
