I'm curious is this Mullah from Pakistan and is he sunni? And if so he is a Mullah and not an imam as you shall see below

The word imam means: "a word with multiple related meanings the tilte of the supreme leader of the islamic community or umma (eg: the tilte of Khomeni was Imam) but connoting also the idea of model or example to be limited." (see JW SM page 196)

Even the leader of al-Azhar university is called Sheikh al-Azhar

Now enter Pakistanis who do not know any Arabic, they realize that the word Mullah is no more than a joke so when they arrive to our shores their Mullah becomes not a sheikh but an Imam as they do not know any better and what is rellly bizarre is no one is willing to question this nonsense. So if he is a Pakistani just call them a Mullah. In Arabic such man would be called a shiekh and not an Imam

Now back to Q4:34 it says: blah blah blah wa idribuhunna (root DRB) or and beat them. And the above translation is incorrect as there is no "and last" or wa fi al-akhir in the above verse

So Allah is saying to beat the women if they do not obey their husbands period

>this Aya,Of course our Imam mentioned ut he explained that the husband was to gently hit his wife's finger with a tooth brush.

Only Pakistani Mullahs utter this nonsense but this Mullah would have been correct if the above aya would have said: wa idrabuhuna bil miswak faqat or beat them with the tooth pick only but this is not what the aya says and real Arabs know what the word yadrib or he beats really means and they would have no hesitation to tell you that this is the usual Pakistani nonsense

>Of course I was astonished, I didn't know that in 630AD, Muslims had tooth brushes.

Well the bogus islamic tradition tells us that Muhhamad enjoyed using a miswak or tooth pick after eating. So a miswak (tooth pick) in the minds of those poolly educated Mullahs bocomes a real topos that can be used some other place

I hope this explains it
